Important tips

Aftercare for henna painting plays an important role in the color development.

The steps to be followed after applying the henna paste are listed below.

Reaction time
• Leave the henna paste on your skin for at least 2 hours.

• The longer you leave it on, the better the color of the henna paste can be absorbed into the uppermost layers of the skin.

Removal
• Do not remove the henna paste with water, but with oil.

Olive oil and coconut oil are best for this.

• The design will then appear on the skin in an orange color.

Over the next 24-48 hours, the orange color will turn into a dark reddish-brown.

Color Development
•The most important step: Avoid contact with water on the painted area for the first 12-24 hours, as this can interrupt the darkening process. If you absolutely want to wash the painted area within the first 24 hours, apply your Hennabelleza Protection and Care Balm first.

•Since everyone has a different skin structure, color development naturally varies from person to person.

i.e., for some, the color of the henna tattoo may become more reddish, while others will achieve a brownish result.

•Before showering or bathing, you should apply oil to your henna tattoo, as this creates a protective layer against water. Olive oil and coconut oil are best for this.

Durability
Since our skin is constantly renewing itself, henna painting will naturally fade completely after approximately 2-3 weeks.

Depending on the exposure time, skin type, and aftercare, henna painting will remain visible for up to 3 weeks.

To enjoy your artwork for as long as possible, you should avoid the following: full baths, chlorine and salt water, alcohol-containing creams and lotions, soaps, shampoos, frequent hand washing, scrubs, and cleaning products.
